Annual SAFIM Internship
Annual SAFIM Internship
Since our inaugural internship in 2017, the SAFIM internship programme has quickly become highly coveted amongst art graduates in South Africa.
Each year, SAFIM sends suitably selected Southern African art curatorial graduates to a world-class museum to partake in a once-in-a-lifetime internship, fully-sponsored by our organisation. Several of our alumni have interned at the Israel Museum, Jerusalem, whilst locally we have sponsored opportunities at leading institutions, Zeitz MOCAA and Norval Foundation.
We are very proud of the effect that these interns are having on the art ecosystem here in South Africa and the impact SAFIM has made on the sustainability of the local curatorial space, highlighting the calibre of the carefully selected post-graduate candidates and the world-class experience they gain at these museums.
