I have nothing but overwhelming praise to offer for the intense levels of organisation that went into making my internship at the Israel Museum a success in every possible way. My work at the museum was varied, fascinating, and ultimately completely beneficial to my learning and experience.
This was the most incredible 4 months I could ever have wished for, and I cannot thank SAFIM enough for extending this opportunity to me. It has made an everlasting impact on myself as a person as well as my career – and I cannot wait to see where it will lead me.
The SAFIM Internship has been an amazing opportunity to experience many different departments within the Norval Foundation. I have learnt so much from the experience, professional and otherwise.
I have truly enjoyed my work and the people I work with, and I look forward to being able to carry on doing so in the future! I am aware of what an amazing opportunity I have been given, I don’t take it lightly, and I thank the SAFIM team profusely for giving it to me.
I would like to express my gratitude to SAFIM for the opportunity to spend 3 months at the Israel Museum, Jerusalem.
During my time at the Museum, I worked with several departments, including African and Oceanic Art, the Youth Wing, the Shipping Department, Asian Art, European Art and in the Database Department.
I have many good memories of Israel and the Museum, and I would love to share the knowledge that I gained from interning at the Museum within galleries and Museum around South Africa.

All I can say is thank you for the most stimulating, fascinating day! We are all so totally inspired, I cannot thank you enough for the unique insight into a world I had no idea about
Our tour guide was amazing and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their time at the Museum. We went through all 3 of the current exhibitions: How Long is Now, Fields of Abstraction and Drifting with Magritte. So amazing that the first 2 exhibitions were all with items that are in the Museums Archives!
